I’d like some cameras for my bike, but they always seem pricey and frequently have crappy recording times.

These you’re looking at nearly $500 for a front and back pair, and the integrated lights are what I would use normally. Runtimes look ok, but I wonder what they are like if you are actually using the lights.

I’ve been seriously looking at picking up a bicycle lately and these make me second-guess that.

I regularly ride motorcycles so I’m used to driving defensively but these videos don’t help...

Fucking a i can honestly say for every asshole driver there is 8-10 asshole cyclists.

They are the worst here because its become so trendy and nobody wants to accept its dangerous espcially when done on the backroads. Riding 3-4 wide for no reason then poor drivers coming the other way on blind turns end up in my lane coming head on. The lazy tires riding swerving from the shoulder into the road as you go by. It’s insanity more don’t die. Ive seen some nasty people on the roads but cyclists have been amongst the worst of the worst.

I have 0 desire to cycle, so take this with a grain of salt, but I’d prefer a world where some roads ban cyclists - preferably ones with blind corners up in the hills/mountains . They’re dangerous enough already. For example: PCH. It’s a damn highway. There are numerous fire roads around that you can cycle on. In the city? Fine, that’s transportation. But recreational road cycling on highways should be banned. Sorry.

I don’t know that I’d go that far, but I really wish something could change in the rules and/or culture of cycling. I’ve had too many “ohshit” moments coming out of blind corners at legal speeds to four riding abreast, or caught up to similar bunches in a winding stretch and had to follow at 10 mph until they notice me behind them and sort out how to get into single file. Even solo riders just dead center in the lane.

And I DO like riding bikes.  Just not on 50 mph state highways. For that I require a motor and safety gear.

I’ve been on back roads where the speed limit is 25, I’m doing 40 safely in my CAR , and there’s a cyclist on my ass giving me the middle finger . It happens almost every time I go to Miur Woods. Frankly, those people should get their bikes taken away.

Normally if you have a solo rider blocking the lane (which is entirely legal), it is because they do not believe there is room for you to pass them safely (and they are allowed to make that judgement). This belief is almost certainly based on experience. No one passes leaving the legally required room, and many pass terrifyingly close (without even considering drivers who are actively antagonistic).
